This is the online form to register for the Spring 2023 Boys/Girls Rising Stars Southington Youth Lacrosse Season and is open to all players whose birthdays fall between 01/01/2016 and 12/01/2019. Our Rising Stars program is a great opportunity for 4-6 year olds to build a solid foundation of lacrosse basics. The Rising Stars program will be offered in two 5 week sessions that will offer flexibilty for busy families. The first session will be held on Thursday nights from April 6th - May 4th. The second session will be held on Tuesday nights from April 25th - May 23rd. You can choose either session or do both programs!! This is a stick only program that will meet from 6pm-7pm on the days listed above. The program fee is $75 for one session, or $100 for both, and includes an age appropriate lacrosse stick, shooter shirt, and a US Lacrosse membership. The Rising Stars will learn the FUNdamentals of lacrosse, passing, catching, and ground balls. The program is intended to teach very basic skills in a FUN environment. It is a great program for all Pre-K thru 2nd grade children who want to try lacrosse without having to invest in all the equipment thier first season. They may even have to score against a dinosaur goalie!!!
Age Based Eligibility:
US Lacrosse establishes eligibility guidelines in order to promote the game of lacrosse among America youth in a safe and sportsmanlike environment. To best achieve this goal, US Lacrosse believes that leagues, associations, and other organizers of youth lacrosse should seek to provide playing opportunities that, as much as possible, establish a "level playing field" among players of similar age, size, and ability.
