SENIOR AND JUNIOR BOYS PLAYER EVALUATION INFORMATION
The initial player evaluations for juniors and seniors will take place at the United Athletic Center, 28 Hamilton Park Road, Waterbury, CT. Here is the current schedule for player evaluations:
7th graders – Saturday, March 15, from 7:00am – 9:00am in the Bubble at United Athletic Center
8th graders - Saturday, March 15, from 7:00am – 9:00am in at the indoor facility at United Athletic Cente r
5th graders – Sunday, March 16, from 11:00am – 12:30pm in the Bubble at United Athletic Center
6th graders – Sunday, March 16, from 12:30pm – 2:00pm in the Bubble at United Athletic Center
The United Athletic Center has 2 playing fields: a bubble, and a separate indoor facility. Note that the bubble is not heated, so please have the players dress appropriately. The temperature in the bubble will probably be about the same as the outdoor temp. The indoor facility is heated.
Future evaluation dates will be communicated to you and will be dependent upon weather and field availability. There will be at least 2 evaluations for the seniors and the juniors.
Players will be assigned to an "A" team or a "B" team based on their performance at the evaluation sessions. Players are expected to attend all sessions with full lacrosse gear. Coaches will have discretion to further evaluate the players and assign them to a team after these sessions.
We expect to have 2 bantam teams, and a U9. Bantam and U9 players do not need to be evaluated. The 2 bantam teams will be split evenly.

AS PART OF YOUR CHILD'S REGISTRATION, YOU ARE COMMITTING TO VOLUNTEER AT YOUR CHILD'S RESPECTIVE SOUTHINGTON JAMBOREE (parent of boy player volunteers for the boys jamboree, parent of a girl player volunteers for the girls jamboree).
One parent (or other representative 18 or older) is required to volunteer their time for a 3 hour time slot in support of our jamboree. Our jamborees are our one and only fundraiser for the season and enable us to keep our registration costs down and pay for many extras throughout the season including away jamborees for all of our players at no additional costs. In the event a parent or other representative of a player fails to complete the required 3 hour time slot at the jamboree, the player may be suspended for up to 2 team events (game or jamboree). We hate to be sticklers on this, but we have had parents in the past take advantage of our previous policy of not taking any corrective action. We hope you understand the predicament that puts us in.
